Very difficult to use. Not user friendly at all.I bought this thinking that it would do almost all the same features as the cpen reader pen. There are many cons to this cpen connect. I used my android smartphone with it it took a long time to connect to my phone each time I would use it, when reading lines in my textbook to me if a word was cut off by the end of the line and started on a new one it would read minus in between the word chucks. (Ex. Audi-ence would read as audi minus ence). The app does not have a dictionary feature which would be very helpful. Over all I have decided to return the cpen connect and buy the cpen reader pen. So far the reader pen is much better. I would recommend getting the reader pen by cpen instead of the connect pen if you are dyslexic like I am.Personally found it works best with a personal computer (Mac) over a smart phone.The product is not user-friendly, has a short battery life, and most of all the pen gets hot to the touch in a way that is uncomfortable. The design of the pen makes the instrument awkward to manipulate. I don't use the pen anymore since I am afraid it may overheat and catch fire. A waste of money as far as I am concerned.No more C-Pen products for meIt does take practice for accuracy but worth the effort. Useful for any student - would make a great gift for high school graduate headed for college or tech school.This the second one I purchase and they were both defective. They are not turning on and there is no light, not even when I charge them. I had to return the first one and purchase a new one but it was as defective as the first one. I'm so frustrated as I wanted for Christmas (tomorrow). It is a pricey item, I don't get how they can send two consecutive defective ones.I could not get this to work. Es lamentable para mí.This is good product - the main target market appears to be the education market - I bought it for revision purposes as I like to make notes when I read textbooks - the attraction here is obvious - no more writing ! Works well on iOS and Windows.I have a Chromebook which was the initial reason for this purchase over "other available products" - the extension thus far seems a bit flaky - in truth the website states it was supported for Chrome on Windows , iOS, Linux but is ambiguous on Chromebook. I think it is related to Chromebook Bluetooth pairing versus the extension itself.All-in-all, a good product. Perhaps slightly on the pricey side but I know that the licensed OCR technology used in these is not their own and expensive - it is however the most reliable on the market.Quick tip - the pen only correctly recognises text one way up when the trigger is underneath. This could have been embarassing...One needs a mechanical hand to pinpoint the scanner exactly over each sentence.The PC (i9, 64GB RAM, SSD,...) app had a serious lag at times to get the text in. Well, to get something on screen.The Android app worked more smooth but here as well the OCR output was disappointing and if the text recognition is off so is the voice recognition.The online instructions are well presented and for someone who can spend more time on scanning and editing the outcome than on actually reading this product might be a fine pass time. For me it didn't work. I sent it back.The image attached shows one of the very best scan results.My dad got this for me to help with my Masters degree (especially my dissertation) and it is amazing. The company are very responsive to questions and queries through their help desk, which has made the whole process and experience great. My first query with them related to switching it on! Turns out it needed to be charged for around an hour before it switched on for the first time. Second query was related to scanning directly into MS word, which is actually very simple (you just need to keep the desktop app open in the background with word open). The actual scanning takes a bit of practice, but once you get the hang of it it will save so much time. The pen itself is sturdy and feels good to hold. Very impressed so far!I have the wired C-Pen 3.5 version and it works well.But this one constantly disconnects on Bluetooth so you cannot use it for more than a minute without having to pair again.It is also much less accurate than the wired version.Bad accuracy, easy to use, BUT YOU CAN’T USE IT ON AN APPLE LAPTOP BECAUSE THE INTALLATION IS OUT OF DATE. Therefore the product, for me, is useless. I would only use it to write straight onto word document so I can edit but you can’t do that on your phone, iPad, or laptop. DO NOT BUY
